Group Compliance appointment reflects Dalziel’s food safety promise
Dalziel Ltd has announced the appointment of David Brown as Group Compliance Co-ordinator, underlining the company’s commitment to excellence in food safety standards.
As a newly created role, David will be responsible for quality governance across Dalziel’s 14 UK-wide depots, ensuring all processes meet the highest standards of food safety and health and safety compliance.
He brings a background of over 15 years in risk management and manufacturing, the last four years as quality controller for global supplier Ferschl Hose & Hydraulics.
Reporting to Dalziel’s Group Technical Manager, David will be responsible for ensuring the tightest quality compliance with food safety regulations across all Dalziel’s operations.
“We aim to set the highest global standards in the quality of our food products supplied to customers. That means they can be 100 per cent confident in our production methods, food safety and supply chain management.
“Food safety and compliance was already complex, even before Covid-19. And as we continue to grow across more and more sectors in the food industry, David’s role will be critical in meeting and exceeding expectations of ever-increasing regulatory standards.”
Dalziel Ltd is the UK’s specialist supplier to the nation’s retail butchery industry, serving butchers since 1926 with a full range of the finest quality frozen and chilled meat, an extensive range of ingredients, butchers’ sundries and packaging.
The Dalziel group is also a major supplier to food processors – other divisions include Dalziel Ingredients which specialises in seasoning, cures, blended ingredients and sauces, and Rillatech, which supplies food casings and packaging materials.
